The Colonial Buffet is made to a very high standard from solid A grade mahogany beautifully finished. The furniture is hand made by skilled craftsmen using traditional methods.
We also use some modern methods to ensure a stable and lasting product. The cabinets are built with floating panels and dovetail joins in the drawers. We use the finest grades of mahogany. We have a modern automated kiln drying facility, which we use to dry the wood to the correct moisture content for the Australian climate. We use the more expensive quarter sawn timber which is cut with the grain and not against it. All of these measures prevent unwanted movement and reduce any risk of warping. This furniture will stand the test of time.
The precision with which this furniture is made is impressive. The quality is very difficult to capture in a photograph. The beautiful pale tea finish gives this buffet a classic and elegant look. This is a future antique with a lot of character and appeal.
